1/2 Day Fluking - Belmar/Point/Brielle Reports?
« on: August 10, 2007, 10:50:57 AM »
Only have time for 1/2 day fluking tomorrow morning...taking a buddy out for his first time fluking ever (freshwater bass fisherman).

Anyone have any reports from the head boats in Belmar/Point/Brielle?  Gambler, NKIII, Voyager, J2?  Others?

check the weather tomorrow, Sunday looks like the better day so far.
Fish out of Toms River NJ.
Call Nick for open boat, 973-417-5756, or on Channel 68.

I have a charter I'm going on Sunday.  Tomorrow's weather looks OK in the morning...blowing 10mph out of the N...cooler temps in the low 70s...should be fine.

Matt, seas tomorrow are going to be in the 4-7' range, a little sloppy

Wow I'm suprised...I just looked at the NOAA forecast, 4-6 indeed...didn't think it would be that bad.

Have to think about this a bit...

Still 4-6 as of the 320 report...buddy and I are going to give it a go...we'll see what happens...will be rolly...hopefully they are over-estimating a little with the winds subsiding...hopefully the seas will too...but it's looking snotty tonight.

FYI, just looked at the latest Raritan Bay forecast....seas 2' or less with a NE wind 10-15.

My buddy was at Manasquan fluking from shore...and said it's pure whitecaps right now.

Either way, I think the ocean is going to get heaved over tonight...and the fishing might suck anyway.

I can't make a run to Raritan...I could, but it's not worth a half day boat trip.

Hunting season??????? what that? The flatties are still here ???   ;) ;D  I was shooting a bunch before I hurt my hand.  The bow is shooting very well.   Just hope my hand gets better in time for the season.  Looking for a new private piece now since the owners of the old property moved and it was subdivided.  Hopefully ill get one before the season starts t^
