1st Attempt at inshore pelagics tomorrow
« on: August 11, 2007, 09:37:43 PM »
Well Gents, I will be trying for the first time ever for some footballs tomorrow and anything else that may be out that far(hopefully not too many blues). I plan on heading  Ambrose light to HA and waters in between. Looking for some action and attempting a 7 rod spread with no outriggers. I got my elastic bands and rodriggers. Its time to put all my reading to practical use. If anyone is around, try me on the  usual channels or cell 201-893-1383. Report to follow.

sorry for the lateness of the report. Hittin work for the o.t. lately. Anyway, we scratched the offshore adventure and stayed with the blues. Had 80 lbs combined weight and 1 37"bass.  Most fish were jigged up on diamonds and the like. We couldn't pass them up(I hate to leave fish to find fish). We were going to head to the pots but heard of Bonita near NY and tried for that after the blues with no success. This weeken I may trailer to my buddies in Lenoka Harbor and head out to the ridge on Saturday. I will keep you posted. My friend Dave with his 17 lb bass and the cooler of blues. Lots of fun!!!

Hi GregB,

Real nice catch.  I don't think you could fit to many more in the cooler.  Good days work even though it didn't go as planned.

Happy Catching

our offshore trip is cancelled also but might try for brown sharks a few miles off the beach down little egg/holgate/beach haven area.

the late afternoon is looking like the better time to steam out...morning looks really snotty looking at the current report.
