Want to introduce myself

Hi all.  I am a reverse snowbird from Florida for this winter.  No, I am not crazy, our youngest daughter in Jersey City had twins in January, and we're up here to give her a hand through May.
Not being totally insane, I rented ahouse in Oakhurst, and brought both my surf and trout gear.  I have been fruitlessly casting, mostly at the Deal Surf Club, and haven't seen a fish.  I wish those of you who have been hiding them would let at least a few loose.
I lived on Long Island near Riverhead from 1970 to 2003, and then retired to Fort White, FL, in the center of a 60 mile ring of lakes.  Bad mistake, I should have stayed up here.  But I'm here now.  Where the heck are the fish?

Welcome aboard.  If you're fishin the surf, clams and bunker have been the ticket for bait, and metals on a teaser rig have been working as far as artificials go.  Good luck out there.

Welcome Ted. We all think about the South in the cold ,but not during Bass season.
Fish now ! When you think the soffa looks good,grab your rods and fish BUNKER, CLAMS, EELS and when you get tired then go home and hit the soffa. Then pick up your plugging rod afterwards and hit another spot and use plugs.Welcome to the addiction.Good Luck. t^
