Sundial

Went for a late night session hoping to catch one of those 2012 stripers!  End up catching my first Sundial.  Don't much about the fish.  Are these little guys any good? nts

I myself haven't had any to eat but it is a flounder (windowpane) . Most are very small and thin but there are no regs on them so try em for yourself. I have used them for bait for fluke , stripped up of course and have caught many fluke on em for years.

They are edible if you get enough.
Sundial- paper thin, mouth is larger then a winter flounder but smaller then a fluke. they are also more of a circular shape and caught mostly in the surf.

If you don't mind me asking, where did you catch it and on what? Boat or shore? Cabin fever is killing me!!

Ive eaten quite a few of these guys man they are tasty just like any other flounder and they have about 1/4 inch or so thick fillets that are really good
