Easy to use braided line

I am an old monofilament line user. I am thinking of trying braided line on a few reels for fluke etc. I have been making same mono knots for 50 years. IS there a braided line 20-30 lb test which is easy knot tying to mono line and swivels

I think you will like braided for fluking. you can get away with less lead. As for knots I have used the same ones that I use with mono. On some of my rods with braid I also like to put a short piece of mono to give me a little stretch. I use a Uni to Uni knot for that. Also welcome this is a nice place with good people. George

The best braid i have used is 40 lb power pro super slick... So easy to work with. And you dont really need to stay 20lb its so thin go a heavier weight why not

braid is great on smaller gear as well...

i placed twenty pound power pro on a light tackle rig: 5.5 ugly light action rod paired with a small shakespeare spinning reel for my 8yo son.  last year he hooked into a 22 inch fluke by the tip of the navy pier...what a memory of him trying to pull that thing in on his own.  the braid did great...i tied the braid direct to a three-way and then placed the sinker via mono and a fluke rig on the other ring with mono.

Just be careful with braid as it will cut through your skin before you know it.  Like every one before me said, once you use it you will never go back.  It is so much sensitive you can even feel the fihs playing with the bait at times.

Oh yeah that part. and also make sure you have sharp scissors because you wont be biting through it. And if or going to be casting continuously where a glove or finger guard.

one of my first jobs when i was younger was working for a carpenter.....sanding by hand.  my fingers were raw within the first hour...i remember the guy i worked with threw me a roll of duct tape...looked at him with the deer in the head lights looked...he yelled at me to wrap my fingers.  its the little things that go a long way, works for fishing as well.  just wrap the protion of your finger that is always in contact with the line.

What I have used for a number of years now is the cloth Curad band aids.  If you put it on before you get your hands wet it will last all day even wet.  In fact I usually have to cut the booger off when I am done.
