Father/Son Trip 8/19

Well Head out with Dad this morning..  Well lets begin with rain at 5:30am  Nice screw up in the weather again.. Hit the AH marina around 7am to be greeted by a boat being towed in. Its amazing how people don't move there boat along the dock to help other who have a major issue for docking!! Once I pulled the boat foward got greeted by member Last Call. He blow the motor at 1am on the shark run.. After chatting and doing the official hello's .. Dad and I went for peanuts.. Well that went way to easy!! Now off to the SHC.... first stop.. nice 21" and a few shorts.. Blues were crashing around so we got a few for shark bait.. I sent a balloon and fillet out on every drift.. but no real talk of any sharks around.. So we continue flukin along the beaches after the pack in the channel got a bit crazy!!.. We ran down to the highlands bridge, then to the rocks and worked are way back home.. Plenty of shorts today.. all the blues you wanted..I made the decision 18" was our keepers.. Since you had a tournament going I knew CO's would be at the dock.. After a long day of wet weather and a ton of shorts. We end with 3 nice keepers over 20"s

And yes 7 CO's at AH marina, the nailed a few guys with mutiple shorts, one guy with shorts and no reg. numbers diplayed.. I talk to the one CO's and he said " 35 boats with shorts today!!!

well my bones are chilled .. Dad got a stack of nice fillets... Was a good day to be out with Dad.. calm seas except for the very curtious boater!!!

no pics soaked to the bone!!! sorry!!

Good job Joey.  It's great when you can get dad out with you.  That's what makes the memories.   t^

Good report and fine catch.

It sounds like a good catch was made by the CO's as well.  Fine the hell out of them guys.

Happy Catching

It's no wonder they keep making the size limits bigger and the take smaller!

I gotta admit that fishing with Dad is great, but an extreme amount of work.. Double knee surgery and a pacemaker.. So its tough with the slight chop or even running.. The fact He can't move around that much makes it a lot of work.. But I do cheerish the tiem, because He got me started and I will share the knowledge and wealth I gain from the years he taught me!!..Now if I could land a freakin job! life would be even sweeter!!!

Thanks Guys
