FISH STIX - NJSWF Crew Today - YEAHHHHH BUDDDYYY -
« on: May 23, 2012, 09:56:10 PM »
Today we had the boys from NJSWF.com out for some Striped ones. Crew consisted of Rod, Bob, Kenny, Ed, Paul and Joe. Broke the inlet and started making bait. SLOW. Bunks were tough to snag, let alone throw a net on them. After 2 hours of snagging, we went fishing. First spot and second spot, NADA. Set up where we caught em last night and had some fish blow up on our baits, but couldn't come tight.

Heard there was a pick of fish a few minutes away. Loaded the net with fresh bait and made the run. Got to the area and it was GAME ON. Fish rolling and busting up top. Awesome. Topwater worked good today too. The fish were aggressive as could be. Crashing baits like crazy. Fishfinder was LOADED top to bottom. Best readings all year! The guys had some fun with these fish for a while before it ended.

Slow start today, but ended right. Had the guys limit of fish to 38lbs. Heard some FUNNY ASS jokes today too! Lottttttttttttsssss of laughs. The crew had a great time and did an awesome job on the fish. Thanks again Boys!

Rod and crew, add some more if you'd like, I'm sure you will.

Capt Kris

Its better to sit in a boat and think about God, than to sit in a church and think about fishing.

This trip was so much fun!  Thank you Capt Kris for having us aboard and for an awesome day of fishing! clp

For those that don't know, today's full day striper trip on the Fish Stix was donated by Capt. Kris as a prize for our 5th Annual NJSWF Banquet back in April, and I just happened to be the lucky one to win it! ;D

This donation is a testimony to what great sponsors we have here.

I will have a full write up about Fish Stix charters coming up.  But, for now, suffice it to say that Capt. Kris and mate Darren run a first class operation.  And they worked hard to put us on the bass.

I had a blast watching these big stripers blowing up (and hooking up) on my Mike's Custom pencil today!

What a day and what a crew! ::) ;D

Thanks again Capt. Kris! t^

clp  Great trip with good friends and on an awesome boat with a professional crew. As soon as Capt.Kris found the fish it was game on!!  These were all big and healthy Stripers and the bunker were everywhere. It's a blast to see them  crashing a top water plug too. It was also nice to see Capt.Jerry out on the water catching them up.  Thanks again Kris for donating the trip at the banquet. And thank you Bucktail Bob for the invite!!  clp

Also Capt.kris is very talented at docking  with that wide beam.  ;D

A great day on the water, even with get up early  thud.

As Kris said, started out slow, bunker was there but spread out too thin making it hard to snag or net. We did tuff it out though and picked a few on the snag.

Without loosing determination Captain Kris continued on and was able to find the batch we were looking for. Enough bait was made in one throw by Mate Darren's to last the day.

Having the live well full Captain Kris pointed the bow to the north and motored up the beach where we found the bass shooting bunker straight out of the water. Fittingly enough, Bucktail Bob hooked up with the first fish on a plug. The rest of the crew soon followed with hook ups which continued till we called it quits. Many bass were missed with the bass just batting the bait around as if it was a game.

Bucktail, thanks again for the invite. I am proud to be able to call you my friend.

Captain Kris, very kind of you to donate this trip for our banquet. You run a great operation, your boat is the perfect fishing platform, plenty of room even for us big guys. I had a great time on the trip and I know the entire crew (and a great crew it was) did also.  chrz chrz chrz
