Thunderstorms
« on: July 01, 2012, 11:19:41 AM »
Saw they got some pretty nasty storms in the LEI area. Winds up to 70 mph. reports of boats moved on trailers and other damage. A well known landmark, the Fish Factory that's been there for as long as I can remember had it's upper half blown off. I hope everybody fared well during the storms. I haven't been down to the boat yet so I have my fingers crossed. 5hrug

I found these on another site. Captain Mikes Marina and boat rentals. I check in on the site often because this is the area I usually fish and they post up reports.

Amazing the Fish Factory is just about blown away!  The damage from the storm is incredible.

Yes Friday Night southern NJ got hit by the derecho(an event of widespread damaging winds that started in Iowa Friday morning!  I saw wind gusts reported at high as 84mph and hail to 1.75 inches!  Atlantic County took the worst hit in the State.  Millions of people are without power from IL all the way to the East Coast, as well as millions of dollars in wind damage!!

Yikes
Its better to sit in a boat and think about God, than to sit in a church and think about fishing.
