Hi Trish.  Well there is a ton of great companies out there but it sounds like your trying it impress someone an no cost limit.  Well one of the best would be Seaguar Fluorocarbon leader, 25# test on a 50 yard spool that will run you in the area of 20 bucks.

Fluoro is a great material for a couple of reasons.  It is almost invisible in the water, it has great strength to size ratio, it is very sensitive, and it is easy to tie knots with.  Just in case your asked what makes it so good.

I am sure others will chime in.  Good luck.

Happy catching

Paul

To be honest, in only the 25lb range they should all be the same. I use seaguar and ande flouro, both are good, and easily found.  High seas quattro is good also, and rod sells it if you can wait for shipping.

I also use seaguar and Ande fluorocarbon and am happy with both. The fluorocarbon material is more abrasion resistant and has less stretch then mono leader leader material. As Paul mentioned, It's less visible then mono but I don't think that makes much of a difference in the cloudy water we fish in more towards shore. The high seas brand should be equally as good. t^
