Maybe you should have a buddy boat with you on your first by yourself trip. It couldnt hurt

I would also search for the post history of a member named Fellinger. He learned quickly and properly.

Hey! I resemble this remark! LOL

I still haven't brought a mako to the side of my boat and you did that in your first season  slt

You should NOT go any further....my gas guages work perfectly...we should swap out boats and leave all the risk in my court.

Its better to sit in a boat and think about God, than to sit in a church and think about fishing.

Yes kenney and 32' Luhrs. She's awesome. I do have to say my first experience with boating so far has been excellent. I'm very lucky from what i hear. Actually where i'm keeping her right now there are 3 other 32' Luhrs in the same line of slips so they were very helpful in showing me the boat  ;D

Are you at Manasquan River Club along the bulkhead by the pool/ramp? I know of 2 Luhrs there.

They all are. I originally went there and got a price, went on the other side of the canal and got a price $1k less. On my way to pay for that slip stopped at MRC and told them point blank I wanted to there but couldn't afford it and was on my way to the other place to pay for it. They matched the other place. I save on the extra mileage to the ocean and the headache of running the canal.

thats cool they worked with you and matched it. Will they keep it for the following year or go back to original price?

Don't know for sure but, I'm sure if I'm willing to pay in November they'll certainly consider it. There's also some houses on Riverside Drive that have dock/slip space.

i looked on craigslist for private slips. Couldn't find any. I know sometimes people would post them on there.

I found the best way is to keep a log on the boat.   Each time you fill up, mark down the hours on the gauges, the hours since the last time you filled up, and a general description of how you ran in since the last fill up.  After a few fuel ups, you can get an accurate picture of your burn rate.   I never trust fuel gauges in a boat.
Rather be fishing.......
