union beach labor day
« on: September 03, 2007, 07:13:39 PM »
We fished the sail boat markers but all shorts then went to union beach and did real good with fish 5 over24" 2over 22" and 2 over 20" all in 8 feet of water. A lot of wind did not look like it was going to be a good day but what a flip of the cards. ENJOY FRINDES

Missed you at the dock. How did Bugsy do?? Tried to call you in the AM on Channel 6. The Reach was a Parking Lot.  I stopped once there and then moved to the West of all the traffic.  Had fish on every drift but wanted to go in early. See you got the Link. Another Nice day on the water.

Awesome job tiger, 5 over 24 inches, that is sweet. I'm lucky if I get 1 over 20 inches.  5hrug 5hrug

Good Report, and Nice fish. I think I am going to run west over that way next time out.... tho by that time they'll likely be gone. 8ft of water--- woulda thought all birds....Were they eatin peanuts?

Fluke will at times stay under the Blues and eat the scraps that fall, or wounded/ scurrying peanuts.  I will sometimes, if the fishing is slow, try to figure which way the birds are working and stay just behind them and drift to see if there are any takers. I have found that sometimes it will save a bad day with a few fish. How many Fluke have you caught that had bitten Tails, or worse bitten sides. Blues will eat anything that moves.
