Raritan Bay shore area Report. 10/14/2014 9:05 PM
« on: October 14, 2012, 09:39:45 PM »
Went with a local group this evening I left 5:30 pm and met up with a few that already had landed stripers. no line siders, but a beginning , We moved to where the rest were set up. With No Yellow Eyes and doing much better. It was all dead sticking Cut Bunker, Fish Finder rigs 5oz. The rigs were set short and long from the beach in a 50 yd stretch, Wind light Temps dropping Had my Little Giant heater going. I love that thing. It was a Bass here and there till dark then it was game on. They hit the Heads more wish they sold just heads at times I and others ran out of bunker and called it a Night, 2 stayed throwing plugs.  5hrug everything was Catch and release, as always. All in all maybe 15 guys in the area, for a Sunday night but most showed up after we got there, The Cell Phone network works. 4 NY plates even. 2 of them I know as Regulars great guys, fcp But no one was disrespectful As is the case at that spot. And again we made arrangements at a local Pizza place to Deliver. Hot subs and 1 Pizza No Anchovies  fcp Got home to a hot shower and now ready for bed. Tides dictate no evening fishing with a front and rain for next week will give it a try at the morning tides. Maybe Wed. Morning. The fishing should be  getting better with  bigger Bass in the mix.
This is Relaxed fishing at its best. Beach chair. 2 poles in spikes 1 spare. Portable Heater. Food Delivery.  Wanted Bait cutter. Unhooker. willing to reel in a fish now and then During Nap Time.
Open invite to all. Bill
And good night. Sorry no Photos this time. Wife had Camera. thud
But I added a File photo of the spot from last year about the same time of the year.

Salty, And its not too far to the east from your location , Just got a cell call around 8;30am from 2 guys from last night, the tried before they headed for work ( late ) they got there about 5:30. Eight other people fishing 2 that stayed overnight  fcp had to wait for bait shop to open at 5 for more Bunker and it was slow fishing landed 3 blues, 6 Bass. 2 shorts 4 legal all released. They said it was one of the best sun rises they saw all year Bright Orange and reds. Breezy, Cold. Red Sky in the morning Sailors warning. The weather man again Wrong. Where is the rain predicted,  5hrug.

What is it about a shore angler casting as far out as possible and a boat angler casting towards the shore.  5hrug , Thats why I cast a line short and one long from the shore line. and watch boats zooming out to the channels and Hook passing right over good fishing. Maybe thats why The fishing has been as good in close no boat traffic. And the fishing is always better with a line of Anglers lined up along the shore line sending out a scent and slick to attract the Bass. A lone Angler is just that alone.

In all do respect Thats Crap.Let alone worthless under most conditions. It is what it says Menhaden OIL , I will try and explain in a few words.  slt
What happens when oil is released under water  :headscra:. It comes right to the surface. No underwater slick is produced.  fcp Menhaden oil has to be mixed with a material that holds it. such a Bunker Flesh. Called Chum right so far slt. There is a Product and its not oil its Milk Yes its Menhaden Milk ( Bunker Milk )It stays at the depth that it is released at. what you do and its not New a plastic soda bottle with a hole or holes punched in the bottom and top, so when Lowered. And do not forget to attach a line on the bottle  smk it is released as it goes down and spreads out. Menhaden Milk can be bought in quarts and gallon sizes, Big Plus its Concentrated. A quart will make many more of those cans  thud. mix is 4 to 1  and its halve the price of the oil. and just as good or better But thanks for the thought, you're thinking thats a good thing learning is even better.

So let me get this straight. Judging by the file name on that picture and the endorsement of the product,....you like and use "men milk"?

I think you're missing the big question here, which is:

How do you milk a bunker?! :headscra:

I once heard you can milk anything with nipples.

Bunker have no nipples. I'm going to name my boat or my rock band "Bunker Nipples"
