Norma K III: Sea Bass fishing report 9/30/07
« on: October 01, 2007, 12:18:43 AM »
About 40 fares on the afternnon trip.  3 keeper sea bass caught on the whole boat.  I apparently had one of these little creatures with me.  Caught the big goose egg!

Yeah, don't feel bad.  I was talking to a friend that is a regular on that boat, and he said it's been really bad lately.

Hopefully it will bounce back soon.

It has been a bad year so far for bottom fishing.  Some days are ok, most are lousy.  As far as bouncing back, it has to start before it can bounde back.   ;D

Hopefully, this fishery will break open soon.

How do they taste? Not very filling though. Any recipes?

How much pounding can the snags take?? Since the fluke season closed, most of everyone is targeting the seabass. There is not an infinite number of them. Furthermore, I think the water temps and time of season are not completely conducive to the black guys.
