Fishing the Hook
« on: September 28, 2013, 09:53:19 PM »
Pops and I with the girls in tow headed out to the beach today instead of taking out the boat. This way the girls wouldn't be "so bored." Lots of blues and a couple fluke. One that would have been a keeper. Not much bait fish around in our area but took a hike out to the tip and took part in the usual blues fest by the 11a buoy. Beautiful day on the beach regardless. No stripers seen at all.
The secret to catching fish is, to fish, where the fish are.

Thanks for the report.  t^ It is always nice to try something different to keep people from getting bored.  You did get some good exercise as that is a hike to the tip of the hook.

Was a lot warmer then I expected. Long pants and a long sleeve shirt was the mistake of the day. The hike was long, but longer for my 13yo.  rofla
