Genuine Yamaha parts for me. If you want to save a few bucks, maybe Maritime Matt could get you a deal,or order them on line . It's amazing how I can get them cheaper sent to my door than any local Yamaha dealer will sell for. I've even asked if they would match the price , but to no avail.  Between SIM Yamaha, Eric's Outboards, iboats, etc. You can't go wrong.
I've spent most of my life fishing, the rest I've just wasted     <'((((><

Agreed.  You get what ya pay for.  Whether its boat parts or auto parts, I'd rather spend the extra cash on the OEM.

Here is my take on this. I use more after market products than oem. Both have there place. I won't divulge why.
I am a firm believer of supporting my Local Business when I can, even it it means spending some xtra coin.
Why? Someday you might just need them for more than just parts. Like tech info for your motor that you will not get on the NET. Try them out first.
