For those not on board interested in a fishing report the bite was slow and never really turned on and they never really got chewing.
Tough current and just a pick of shorts and some keepers all around the boat.
Pool fish was about 7 lbs and some had 4 down to none.
Seemed that they did prefer whites yesterday.
As far as the trip....what more can I say that already hasn't.
Had a blast fishing with some old friends and meeting some new.
Too many laughs and shenanigans as always.
Congrats to Reefsquater on the pool fish and to Johnny Qz on that new sweet stick.
Thanks to:
Kenny, Joe, and Bob for all the hard work on putting this together and the reel for the rod.
Trish for the food spread and photos.
Wreckfish for the sweet rod.
Uncle Luna for the doughnuts
Capt Jack for the raw bar treats.
Eddie for hooking me up with the "Kansas City Tog Rig"
And special thanks to NJBob for the voodoo doll...I think it worked
only had 3 keeps and didn't win anything
Missed the full moon and can't wait to see the Belmar Rig video Skip.

Nice trip everyone... Looking at the all that clothing makes me feel COLD.. LOL.. I like fishing topless, so this wouldn't have worked for me.. lol..
I seems like if I want to eat good, I need Trish and Uncle Luna on my Luna Sea.. Uncle Luna is great for breakfast, and Trish for Lunch.. Oh.. and one young stud to lift the anchor.. lol..
See you guys at the party and on the water in the spring.. Stay warm my friends..
We missed you Nick!

Looks like I'm the last one getting on here…
Fell asleep in a chair last night…then slept in this morning…Up..quick shower and off to my Daughters Shiai ( A karate exposition and party afterwards..
Well we did it again !! Our 5th Annual Blackfish was a huge success !!
So much has already been said..so I'll try to keep it short and sweet..
Special Thanks go out to:
Jack Bevins and the Sea Horse for hosting this years trip…The raw bar was a big surprise and much appreciated Jack !! Thanks again !!
Trish our on staff caterer…Just a tremendous job on the food right down to the little fish on the cup cakes…You went above and beyond girl in your continued efforts to spoil us rotten !!!
Phil, You crafted another beauty of a Rod for us this year many thanks !!
Don at Canyon reels for providing a sweet reel to complete the combo.
Have to thank my partners in crime, Bob and Joe for all there help and support in putting this trip together…Couldn’t do it without them !
And to the rest,
We could not have gone out with a better more fun loving crew yesterday, The laughs seemed endless all day….
Anyone can hire a boat for a day of fishing but it’s the people that go who are the ones that make the party !!!!
Congrats go out to:
Johnny Oz on winning the rod/reel !! ( I’m still so jealous )
Reefsquater for the big money fish of the day…

Kenny, hats off to you for pulling this together for the site and it's members.
. Really don't know if everyone could understand how much work it does take to get a trip like this in place and try to please everyone! First Class job to you and those supporting you to accomplish it...

Like I said on the boat, I would take a trip to a ping pong tournament with this crew as they are a fun bunch. Glad to have the pool winner choose my bait, especially with the boys up front working so hard in the freezing conditions while we basked in the sun listening to the funk.
Highlites were: "I almost had a bite"- Irsih eyes and Paule catching a tog with his bobber rig.

Tog Jaw.
Torn playing card.
And a bobber.

I have done these a few times for work. What a pain in the ass... It is well worth it when everyone has a good time though.. I have no doubt that the members here put together a great trip even if the fishing isn't that good

How'd you make it? I want to do something different but I honestly think I have done all that you can really do aside from a franchise.

I concur with everyone's comments... Especially the impaired eyesight after seeing Skip's full moon. I think that's what put us on the GSP North instead of South on the way home....
Great trip guys! Thanks to everyone who organized or chipped in to make it a great time.
