north of shark river 10/16
« on: October 16, 2007, 07:33:18 PM »
Tired of little sea bass we decided to look for some blues.  Went North, no birds but a ton of bait off Bradley and Asbury.  Some birds at Long Branch.  Lots of birds on the south side of shrewsbury rocks that were on what looked like albacore.  Went to the rocks and started chumming.  We did not knock them dead but had action enought to prevent boredom.  Ended the day with abut 20 catch and release blues and two very nice sea bass.  Bluefish were up to about 10 lbs.  Several highlands charter boats and one party boat were also on the rocks so it must have been quiet to the north.
