Pilot - Stringer full of bass 4/19
« on: April 20, 2014, 08:02:09 AM »
Had the pleasure to make a late Fri afternoon run to shake the cob webs off the Z'O with Kooz, Skunk and Paulie.  Tried a couple of early spots on the troll with nothing to show for it.  Found scattered bunk but none for the live well.  Went in the search mode with a variable E and outgoing.  Kooz was first and only to strike on a short but there were plenty of fish around.   Conditions flipped us all around the spike.  Pulled it early with plan in place for Saturday.

4/19 lock and loaded with an 8:00 departure.  We had the fresh goods with us today and it made all the difference.   Skunk put on a clinic find his groove after spying JC on his technique.  Both went toe to toe like MMA fighters looking for the knockout blow.  A couple arm bars were in order today.  Early bite very picky with the majority shorts.  After the switch, the wolf packs arrived on schedule like NE corridor local.  (Just realized that might be an oxymoron!)   Any rate, Paul took the stick to a couple of nice ones too.  A short for me.... so be it.  The box was full with 8 real nice fish.   We had an equal number of shorts and probably just as many short bites.   They are gumming the bait so stick with your instincts. Lock and load.   Great opener with the boyz!
