Weather and water conditions will be a bit unsettled this weekend. Saturday will have chances of scattered showers all day, however it looks like more sun than clouds and rain during the day. Sunday will be dry with a mix of sun and clouds. High temperatures will be in the 50’s and 60’s with the warmer temperatures on Saturday. Along the coast and across the north could be 5-10 degrees cooler than inland. Overnight lows will be in the 30’s and 40’s with coastal areas warmer than inland and northern areas cooler than inland. Next couple of nights could see freeze and/or frost Advisories or Warnings across northern areas. Water conditions will vary by day, time and location. Overall, conditions will be Cautious. Some areas will see Hazardous conditions and some areas could see Small Craft Advisories, especially Southern Waters and all Ocean waters. Winds look to be the worst during the mornings then settling into the afternoons. Winds will be mainly from the northwest and this looks like a weekend where checking the conditions before you go and seeing first hand will be the best bet. Surf and beach conditions look good to ok with gustier winds, but the northwest winds should keep the surf down around 1-3 feet max, potentially 2-4 across Southern beaches. Water temperatures are steady or warmer in the mid 40’s to low 50’s. UV Index will be High at 6-7/15.

A smaller area of high pressure will move across the region Thursday Night, then weaken and shift offshore Friday. Low pressure will track across the Ohio Valley and Mid Atlantic Region Friday into Saturday Morning. High pressure will then follow for late Saturday into Monday. Low pressure developing over the middle of the nation Monday and Tuesday will be slow to move and it should result in an extended period of unsettled weather for the region starting Tuesday and lasting through Thursday.

The week will start off dry on Monday, but rain chances move in for Tuesday through Thursday, possibly even Friday. Temperatures will be average in the 50’s and 60’s with 40’s overnight. Water, surf and beach conditions look good for Monday and Tuesday deteriorating for Wednesday and Thursday and likely Friday. Hazardous Conditions are likely with winds upwards of 30 knots with elevated seas and surf as winds turn out of the east.

Have a great weekend and thanks for reading!
