7/24 shakedown and short trip

After waiting half the season for my Marina to complete their storm damage repairs I received a call letting me know my slip would be available on the 24th  clp. I splashed in around 8:00 Am and headed out to my regular spots by the Verrazano bridge and by the Islands. The drift was really moving at 3.5 mph. So with a drift sock and 16 oz's I began my day. I managed only 1 keeper fluke and a lot of shorts. I returned to the dock around noon as my kid had a baseball game at 2PM. Feels good to be able to submit a report finally.   chrz

Yea they prorated the fee but I would rather have been in the water.
 nosmly .. To really kick me when I am down I get a call last night, Bob , the new guy hit your boat and your skeg is broken off in the side of his boat .... 5hrug .. only 3 boats in the water right now and I get this clown behind me....might be time for a move.... thud

 nts Bob that SUCKS ROYALLY, I was happy to see you finally got the boat in the water, you were able to get out and fish and have a good time on the boat. then to only get that annoying phone call. best part about it is the boat is in the water, the guy admitted it and the boat is not a submarine. so what ever is left of your boating season, go out and get'em, lets see that killer FLUKE.
