Wed Aug 27...Monger Fluke trip
« on: August 28, 2014, 10:11:33 PM »
Paule ( my partner in crime ) and I had the Fish Monger booked for the day, made some calls.. sent out some texts to the usual suspects and put together an all start crew for a Fluking mission… Rod, Rick, Paule, Eddie, Mark, Chris, myself and a few others that are not ( yet ) on our site…

Seas  were just  3’ with a really lazy wide swell and were spread far apart making for a comfortable day on the water…

The day started out as usual with high expectations…especially on the first drop…Paule’s doing his thing bouncing his bucktail with his lazer like focus along the bottom and gets snagged up pretty good………………..ON A 10 ½ POUND FLUKE  !!  cfzd          Welcome to the 10 pound club Pal !!  Picture is on the home page as catch of the week  t^

For the rest of us mere mortals… rofla rofla we fished hard all day and everyone contributed some weight in the box,  by day’s end we had  39 real nice fish on ice !!

As you would expect, tons of chop busting, end of the rod tapping and laughs today for sure...If you didn’t have fun on this boat, on this trip, and this crew….it's time to put the fishing gear on Craig's List and take up golf…

Rod and I got into a little friendly fishing competition…he put on a clinic and had boxed up 3 nice keepers…I had 2 on ice….Rod gets another…. 4 to 2 now and I’m feeling the pressure from all Rod’s razzing and fish hard and get it tied up at 4 fish…with only a few more drifts to see who gets to their 5 fish limit first… we’re fishing hard now…bragging rights are at stake…..gets down to the last drop for the day…..nada…Jerry says reel me up boys….neither Rod or I would be the first to start out retrieve…could get the buzzer fish…..but…. we end in a 4 to 4 tie…to be continued on the Blue fin grounds…  ;D

 ( Rick swears I caught 5 ) t^ t^ t^

Kudos to Capt Jerry once again…puts in a long day for you like nobody in the business…nobody works harder to find the fish..Thanks again Jerry !!

Towards the end of the trip..I overhear  Rod telling Paule that he was thinking about doing a good old fashioned fish fry….took a little doing but I managed to get everyone on board to bag up their fish and send it home with Rod.
So Sunday night, 5 pm….Rods hosting the first ever NJSWF fish fry at his camper… chrz chrz chrz

PM me for directions !!!!

Should be a great time !!!!

t^ Great trip with a great crew. Good to see everyone and Capt Jerry and crew are top notch.

It was like whale wars when one boat came up to us and started shooting water at us.

Looking forward to my next monger trip.

Drive-by...you guys were extremely lucky that there were others not with NJSWF on board. Had planned on the water gun and water balloons until I pulled up and saw them.  fcp  ;D
