It may but I use 40# mono for most of my rigs.

no NEED, however fluoro will save your a$$ when he takes you to the jagged rocks. It's much more abrasion resistant than mono. And pricier...

Yeah i have like 15 rigs tied on florocarbon so i have a few rigs tide il just use the stuff i have tied thanks wb

FWIW, I normally use about 15 0r 20' of 50 or 60 lb. mono leader attached to my braid via a Red Phillips or a GT/Sebile knot.  I snell my hooks to 80 lb mono leader.

Well I think it's a personal preference more then anything. But Mono is a bit more supple then Fluoro Carbon, which is what I was saying I use in 40# and is a harder line to tie knots with. You could also use braided for leaded, just make sure you use the knots recommended for Braided.

I use 50 lb mono, no top shot just a belmar rig attache via and albrite knot
