Sea Bass Limits , Irish Ayes 10-20-14
« on: October 20, 2014, 08:24:17 PM »
My Buddy Capt Joe invited me to fish again with Bob G and  Rich  aboard the infamous Irish Ayes out of Shark River.  We head east to the sticky grounds and dropped the hook on a big old wreck after a couple of test drifts that produced some nice knuckleheads.
The Black seabass  were hungry and loved the clams. We decided to keep the bigger ones over 13 1/2" and tossed back so many legal 12 1/2" fish to grow some more.  We also bailed cod/ Porgies, ling and Tog. The Bergalls were around too but all made it back safe to the bottom.
We Only Kept 39 CB's the biggest ones close to 4 lbs.  we easily would have limited out but let the smallies go.  The south s.west wind picked up for a sporty ride home but that vessel handles it well.
Thanks Capt. Joe for the ride and the tastey dinner for my family. t^

Its better to sit in a boat and think about God, than to sit in a church and think about fishing.

Good time Eddie. Thanks for posting the report. It's always a good trip when you have good people aboard. The catching just adds to the fun.  chrz

My friend is a chef in a local restaurant and my wife and I brought him some Black Sea Bass fillets.  He made us smoked Seabass Sashimi with lime and this was the main course.  Black Seabass with cauliflower/potato cream sauce , cherry tomatoes carrots and spinach
It was the best I've ever had! chrz
