After a dry day today, rain and shower chances move in on Tuesday through Thursday, clearing again for Friday. Low pressure will track off the coast, bringing another weak coastal storm. After an early taste of late Fall temperatures last night with freezing and frost, the rest of the week will be seasonable. Highs will be in the 50’s and 60’s with 30’s, 40’s and 50’s overnight. Water conditions will be borderline becoming cautious on Wednesday and lasting through the weekend possibly. Winds will be gustier and seas will be higher. Conditions don’t look as bad as last week, but could push in that direction. Surf and beach conditions will be ok. Winds will be gusty from the middle to the end of the week, with rougher surf and higher waves. Rip Current Risk will be Moderate to High. Water temperatures are steady in the 60’s still, but with cooler nights ahead, water temperatures could drop rather quickly. UV Index will be Low to Moderate.

Low pressure will pass off the Mid Atlantic Coast on Tuesday Night. The low is then expected to move slowly north and northeastward off of Cape Cod on Thursday Night and then in Nova Scotia on Friday. High pressure will then build into the region from the Southwest for Friday into Saturday. A cold front approaching from the Northwest will move into the area on Saturday Night with another area of high pressure following for Sunday and Monday.

The weekend looks dry and more sun than clouds at this point. Highs will be in the 60’s with lows in the 40’s and 50’s. Water, surf and beach conditions will be borderline to cautious with gustier winds and some higher seas. Not as bad as the end of the week, but not completely recovered.

The Atlantic Tropics have settled after major Hurricane Gonzalo made landfall and a direct hit on Bermuda. Gonzalo has raced off to the northeast, now affecting Ireland and the UK. There are two areas being watched, one in the Gulf and one in the East Atlantic. Ana is still out there northwest of Hawaii.

Have a great rest of the week, thanks for reading!
