Finally got the Irish Ayes out on the water.  Me and Bob G left the Shark River inlet and headed north.  Was looking for bird activity.  Didn't see any.  Got to Asbury Park and went on a troll for stripers.

Put out two umbrella rigs.  One had black over pearl shads and the other had chartrues shads.  Both had Clark Spoons down the middle and back about three feet.

Didn't have the lines out but a few minutes when the chartrues rig gets hit.  Bob brings in double header blue fish.  Both kept for Bob's dinner.

Continued to troll and the black over pearl outfit goes off.  I crank in a twenty four inch striper.  Nice looking fish, back over it goes.

More trolling and more blue fish. 

Got near the Red Church and the black over pearl goes off again.  Bob grabs the rod and starts cranking.  Tells me it feels like a little bigger fish and he doesn't feel a head shake.  Nice, sounds like a striper to me.  Gets it to the boat and we get it onboard.  thirty four inch stripers.  Sweet, into the box it goes.

Start heading back toward Shark River and see some bird action off of Ocean Grove.  Start jigging with Ava's.  Catch and release bluefish after bluefish.  Lot's of fun and we are the only boat in site.

Ended the day keeping five bluefish and one striper.  About a dozen blues released unharmed.

Great day to be on the water.  In the morning the ocean was flat.  Water temperature 58 degrees.  Slight southwest wind that turned to the southeast later in the day.

Oops, forgot to mention.  Most of the fish, including the stripers, were caught on the Clark Spoons.  t^

Sounds like a great day, action, and a keeper striper. And any day spent on a big roomy fishing platform called a Parker is a good day as far as I am concerned.

way to go captain, well be heading around this weekend north or south were ever. trolling, bait or jigging watever it takes to
 please the customers

There looked to be plenty of boats off Seaside this morning I would say about a mile or two out.

Hey Joe way to catch'em up. It's terrible when your the only boat in on the action ;D Just 2 on board, what happened to your other faithful crew members ???
Were they out trick or treating ;D
Hopefully we can hook up next weekend, but now that the X-mas season is around the corner, I am stating to get overtime thrown at me for Saturday's, but that's why I still have some personal time TT^ It's just tough to pass up the big bucks ;)
