Irish Ayes reef trip 11-9
« on: November 09, 2014, 08:17:59 PM »
With Bucktail not on the boat today I have to write up the report myself. So, here goes...  ;)

Had Johnny Oz, Peter, Big Dave and Kevin on the boat today. With the dismal showing of the striped bass yesterday and the great weather today we decided to make the run to the SR reef. It paid off nicely.

Had action all day including some terrific fights by the spiney dogs.  :P

Oz boated a huge trigger fish and Kevin landed our three cod. Me, Dave and Peter were also in the rodeo with some nice seabass that made their way into our cooler.

Back at the dock and cleaning fish till after dark. Todays take home was 3 cod, 3 bluefish, 1 trigger fish and 35 seabass.

Did you anchor up with a grapple or no?

There was no need to anchor as we were only moving at .1 mph. Stayed on our spot for a decent amount of time and repositioned as needed. Was out again today and needed to anchor. Did use a grapple.
