Sandy Hook Today 10/31
« on: October 31, 2007, 08:01:07 PM »

got a rather late start out of leonardo (...btw, everything's out now, so no walkway and no floating dock) with a friend who's not exactly an experienced boat or a fishing rod hand.

wanted to show him some action, whatever was going.  i wrapped around the hook and still did not see much in the way of bird play.  so on to the bottom fleet on the SHR to pull up some porgies.  after a mix of porgies from 7 inches on up to 14 inches, decided to look around for some bird play action.

ran back in and up the shrewsbury river but still no good bird action to cast into.  after a bit more of putzing around, decided to pull out early and try to beat the rush hour traffic getting back.

beautiful day out on the water.
