Hallie Loren-Season closer 11-15-14

Well they shut off the water at the marina and have to start pulling out the finger docks. Saturday I had friends Jersey Joe, Mike, Steve and 7 year old Joe. The plan was to get Lil Joe on a Striper. We wound up finding the fish between the channels outside Sandy Hook. Trolling 9er shad umbrellas in Black/White produced Stripers just short of 28" and the Blues were hitting the Umbrella eel rigs in red. Lil Joe did a good job reeling in the fish. He then was tired so he came in to the heated enclosure to warm up and eventually went down to watch Jaws on the TV and took a nap No keeper Stripers for us but plenty of action. t^,  
           I want to thank all of you that fished/cruised with me this season and help create great memories with friends. We will be back at it in the spring starting with winter flounder and spring Stripers.  chrz

Thanks for the report Eddie.   t^ It is not always about catching KEEPERS, but the memories made with friends and family just being out fishing together.  clp

Thanks for the invite that one day to go fluking with you.  I had a great time and really appreciated that day on the water.  TT^

Sad day but you went out a winner with some action  slt

We should have an early spring as we are having an early winter.  I think that is how it works  ;D
