Saturday Freezing Cold Fishing
« on: January 18, 2015, 09:37:12 AM »
I had to let my fingertips thaw out overnight so I could type and still have some numbness going on....7 weeks in between trips and picked the day, it had to be the coldest f'in day  :headscra: Got out with my buddy Ken and joined by Pops Soul Skip and his nephew ( Mr Bo Tangles???) LOL  I got the skunk for blackfish, missed a few and broke one off in the deep. thud    Saw Skip with a short and my buddy ended the day with two. Current was ripping up north near the tide line and didn't help having some guys with not enough weight. Just a tough day but THAT is fishing.....

Sure was chilly yesterday. I'll bet the cabin on the OE was crowded. Nice to see  your buddy Kenny scored some fillets t^

Despite the cold it sure felt good to wet a line  t^ Good to fish with you again Mike. Our Captain did about all he could do to put us on fish, he never did just a wiggle or adjustment it was a move to try to get us on fish t^ I had my nephew big Dave  with me who was and still is a Tog virgin  fcp thanks to him trying his best I got lots of practice tying that F&$king BELMAR RIG KENNY  hhppy. I finished the day with to shorts and got to watch Mike loose a nice fish  rgmn The boat was filled with fisherman and women and for me reminded me of why I hate party boat fishing----- shoulder to shoulder even on a cold day that brought it's share of tangles a few from guys refusing to put on 10 oz's or some from guys using clam and hooking into dogfish :'(  There were a handful,of keepers caught and a couple ling. pool fish went about 5lbs  t^
