last night striper report.
« on: April 20, 2015, 05:24:20 PM »
Fished the back of the Raritan last night. Got setup about an hour before high with clams. A few bumps on the incoming with one short coming in.put out fresh bait and waited for the change. As has been the story this whole season so far the outgoing has been far more productive. Action from change till midnight bringing in 5 or six more shorts and plenty of hit and misses. I suppose some winter flounder. Left them chewing when I ran out of bait.

On a side note I was very disappointed when I arrived at my clam spot seeing a sign that said the service will no linger be provided if the stealing doesn't stop. Unfortunate that a few scumbags can ruin a great thing for all. If you know the spot I'm talking about throw an extra buck or two in the slot. Its still cheaper than the bait store and far more convienent.
Its better to sit in a boat and think about God, than to sit in a church and think about fishing.
