Hi, I am planning as a birthday gift a fishing trip for about 6 people. Of those maybe 1-2 has ever been deep sea fishing. Would you recommend chartering a smaller boat to have the more one-on-one or is a larger boat with other people part of the experience? Looking to go out of Pt. Pleasant.

Thanks in advance for any advice.

Welcome to the site..  I would say $ is the issue..  figure  65$ a head for a party boat or $125.00 for a charter..

I would do the charter.. let us know the area.. and I will send you to a great boat and captain t^

chrz .. I would suggest a small charter boat being as only 2 people have expirence. The smaller boat will be able to " teach " the less expirenced and allow the more expirenced to fish without becomming mates to the others. Makes a better trip for everyone...... pcrn
