Looking for boat insurance
« on: May 01, 2015, 08:38:04 AM »
This year I decided to slip my boat for the first time. it is a 21ft. center console and my slip is located in the Highlands. Does anyone know of anyone local that offers affordable boat insurance or of a better option for me?

i used geico, it was relatively cheap, and when Sandy happened they were quick and fair
Its better to sit in a boat and think about God, than to sit in a church and think about fishing.

I've used Foremost. I got quoted better coverage than Boat US and almost half the cost.

Fred, fishing the "Kristy Marie" from Manasquan River Club. Channels 16/67/68.

Depending on what you have for other insurance, ie car, home, etc, you may be able to get a multi line discount with your carrier. I've used the same company as my homeowner's/car and received a decent price with great coverage. When I needed to make a claim it was pretty painless as well.
