Barnegat Inlet Area Report Aug 28 & 29th
« on: August 28, 2015, 06:16:58 PM »
 Aug 28

Skipped work today and broke the inlet in search of flatties around 1030 trying everywhere I could imagine. In close, out deep. Windmill, Coast Guard station, bird shack, bathing beach,, we hit'em all today.

Caught handful of throw backs on smelt/squid and/or chartreuse, white, or pink gulp with or with out a green, white, or blue'ish bucktail.

Best action was couple miles NE of the reef along the 60'-65' depth line. High catch of robbins, but zero skates and one shark.

 Aug 29

Made the same trek today the 29th. In close to out deep reaching 70'.  Only difference today was more bait choices. A decent amount of throw back flatties, tons and tons of robbins, few skates, one lonely shark and a mackerel that came home with me for beach bait.

Dang Greg.. I was with Tony today..  We had one keeper right off the bathing beach and tried everywhere else with not luck..  I was looking for a crew and figured your one of those with a "Real" Job

The gulp and bucktails didn't produce for me today.. Tony did better with Strip bait and a sand eel..

He clams they love the sand eels the best out front t^
