Headed out today about noon ,bird action right at inlet..started jigging ava's and Krocs..small blues .Continued south fleet of boats near manasquan, birds all over..jigging away and boats come running right through bird action ,and screen goes blank..After pulling in a few 4-6lb blues went on the troll headed back towards SharkRiver Inlet.Had chartruse shad umbrella'spulling in short bass 25-27",finally reel starts screaming and pull in nice ,fat 34" bass for the box.Continued near inlet and bird action just north and started jigging in fleet,no luck, boats charging at birds again  called it a day.Saw Irish Ayes in the fleetalso but didn't want to disturb his gang.Great Day!!!!!

Hi Earl.
Yeah, I was in the fleet.  didn't stay too long.  Stopped on our way in.  The guys running thru the fleet is an everyday event.  I don't know what it would take to stop them from doing that.  I guess they feel they have to be right in the thick of things.

I had several boats cut me off of the fish.  We'd be on the fringe casting into them and here comes some yahoo blasting between us and the fish.  Oh well, that's why I hate fishing with the fleet.

Sounds like you had an excellent day with your catch.  That striper will taste good on several dinner plates.   t^

If you see me on the water in the future, don't hesitate to give a wave and hello.  You can give me a shout on channel 10 also.

I think we need a "How to" article slammed up on the home page about the proper etiquette while fishing near others.  If not I think we should start one here.

Man took me 5 minutes to spell that word close enough for the spell checker to have a clue on what I was try to say ;D

Nice Report though Eral t^

it was unbelievable! the blues and bass would round the bait up and get them in a bait ball, the birds would hit from the surface and then the idiots would drive right through the center and scatter all the fish.
this should be a natural human hunting instinct.  bngh

The same thing happens on the beach only you get a yahoo move right in on the same spot where you caught your fish.  Man I hate that.  It is a shame that people are so inconsiderate when it comes to the water either on the beach or in a boat.

I wish it was OK to cull the stupid and inconsiderate. bngh

Happy Catching

I agree...There should be more written into these courses to make people aware of their consequences on the water.
