Unsettled weather patterns will not affect weather, as much as it will affect water conditions, as colder air makes an appearance for the first half of the week. Despite, fronts moving quite a bit this week, conditions will be dry this week with more sun than clouds during the day. Overnights will be cloudier with areas of patchy fog possible statewide, but greatest chances are across northern areas. Colder air has moved in and highs through Tuesday will only be in the 40’s. Wednesday will start moderating back into the 50’s and then into the 60’s for Thanksgiving and the end of the week. Overnight lows will start out in the 20’s and 30’s moderating back into the 30’s to 50’s by the end of the week. Early in the week, less clouds are forecast at night, which could allow additional radiational cooling (no clouds to trap in warmer air), allowing even colder overnight lows than forecast. Water conditions will be mixed this week. Monday will have cautious conditions inshore and cautious to hazardous midshore to offshore with Small Craft Advisories. Tuesday will have good conditions for the back, borderline on the ocean, and cautious for midshore to offshore waters. Wednesday will have good conditions in the back and good conditions during the day becoming cautious out front. Thursday will have good conditions in the back and borderline to cautious conditions out front. Friday, again will have good conditions in the back and borderline to cautious conditions inshore and cautious to hazardous conditions midshore to offshore. Surf and beach conditions will be ok to cautious on Monday, good to ok for Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, and then ok to cautious for Friday. Water temperatures are steady, in the 50’s. UV Index will be Low to Moderate at 0-3/15.

Low pressure located off Cape Hatteras on Sunday Afternoon will move to the Northeast and out to sea. High pressure is forecast to nose into the region from the Southwest for Monday. A weak cold front from the west is expected on Tuesday. High pressure is then anticipated to settle over the Northeastern States on Tuesday Night. The strengthening high is forecast to drift eastward and it should continue to influence the weather into Friday. A cold front approaching from the northwest is expected to arrive on Saturday with high pressure following for Sunday.

There will be rain chances on Saturday and possibly into Sunday. Saturday will be warmer with highs in the 50’s with lows dropping into the 30’s. Sunday’s highs will only be in the 40’s with lows back into the 30’s. Water, surf and beach conditions will be borderline for both days for inshore waters and borderline to cautious for midshore to offshore waters. Saturday will be the windiest of the days right now.

The Atlantic Tropics are quiet.

Have a great week and thanks for reading!
