Hey Rod, you up for a trip Friday?  Or anyone else for that matter?

What did you want to fish for?
For tog out of Belmar, I hear the Mohawk is the boat to be on.  Down south, Captain Robbins in Sea Isle City.  Slow and old boat but the captain puts you on the fish.

I don't know what striper boats would be good as I have no experience on party boats for stripers.  From the reports I have read, pretty much any one of them, if you are to believe the reports.

It looks like there will be three of us from this site on the Mohawk Friday.  Leaves the dock at 7am, returns at 3pm for anyone interested.

Mohawk leaves with a set amount of fares and usually loads up/leaves earlier than 7am.  They get "railed" as it is the boat to go on for tog in Belmar.  Other options there of course and most are very good as well.

I hate month end business...have to work late nevermind take the day off :'(

I might get out on saturday if I'm not car/truck shopping bngh
Might be time to head over to Brooklyn and visit some buddies ;D

Went on the SeaHawk November 30.  Captain Mike took us to the fish. Good blackfishing and some nice size ling.

On the way back, we saw birds in Raritan Bay.  Even though we had stayed out a little extra time, Mike stopped so we could jig for stripers.  Very few captains would do that.  Unfortunately, some idiot drove his boat right into the middle of the action just as we were ready for our first casts.  Needless to say, that was the end of that.

I plan to go on the SeaHawk as often as I can from now on.

Heard saturday was pretty decent on the SeaHawk.  I couldn't get out but got live updates.  One regular had his limit by 10:30 and seemed the fish averaged out to be 5 keepers per man with some ling mixed in.

Sunday they had a much tougher time and slower bite.
