Roosters Flukin 6-30-16
« on: June 30, 2016, 06:43:59 PM »
At seven AM Tom and I headed out to the Knoll, finding Fluke in 15 feet of water, we stayed and repeated the drift most of the morning outgoing tide. There is an area next to the Sandy Hook Channel near buoy #14 that is shallow and stays warm despite cold ocean water. Unfortunately all but one Fluke were short while I landed one 18” to keep. Killies worked really well as did Sea Robin strips. Tom has been trapping really nice size Killies this season. A few crabs are showing on the pilings in AHMH. Pete
