GAMBLER-- Weekend Tuna Report
« on: October 17, 2016, 09:12:22 AM »
Our last couple trips were decent.

The Gambler had a good canyon trip in fair seas, catching 30 to 70 lb yellowfin tuna. We also landed a few 30 to 40 lb longfin tuna and had a couple big tilefish.

The best of action was just before and an hour or two after sunrise.

During the day, from 8am until the time we left, we saw plenty of marks on the fish finder --and even watched big yellowfin taking chunks in our slick, but they were harder to catch. Most guys landed a tuna, a few had 2.

Edwin and Sammy totaled 5 tuna and 2 tilefish between them.

I think the canyon season looks promising for the rest of the month and probably into November.

There are still openings on up coming trips in November. Call Jill at 732-295-7569 to make a reservation.

Fishing Sandy Hook and anywhere I can get on a boat.

My biggest fear is when I die my wife sells all of my fishing tackle for what she thinks I paid for it!

Sounds good will see you guys Sat. just leave some out there for us. t^
A good day of fishing is better than a bad day of fishing. A bad day of fishing is better than a good day of work. That means work sucks!
