8th annual tog trip on the Skylarker I I
« on: December 11, 2016, 07:09:45 PM »
Another one in the books. Headed out on the Skylarker II today with tbe crew. Captain Steve at the helm led us to the grounds. The ocean was flat as could be and anchoring conditions were bad.

After a few tries ths hooks got stuck and we went to work. Paulie got the dollar fish on the first drop and rods were bending around the boat. Fishing was tough scratchy bite mixed with no current made it hard. Some guys figured it out and but some in the box. I think mostly everyone caugbt fish. I mugged Dan Jr.pretty good and landed 4 keepers including the pool fish. This years Wreckfish rod was another beauty and shes all mine.

As always we had a great time fishing and ball breaking. Captain worked hard making 5 or 6 drops. Was not a slaughter day but we all had fun.

Its better to sit in a boat and think about God, than to sit in a church and think about fishing.

Thanks for taking the time to put the trip together Al, and nice win. Phil made a beautiful rod. They do say that second in the pool is the best though, so therefore I'm still the best  clp Bite sucked for me all day and then I had 5 keepers in the last hour which came from no where it seemed. Even then the bite was weird and they wouldn't commit much at all.

Togging sandwiched between Kenny and Paulie is always fun. Phil hurling witty comments at almost every swing and miss was a delight. Thanks and congrats to councilman Al for arriving on time and half in-the-bag asleep. Good times with good people. Wouldn't change a thing.  chrz
