Hey Everyone Cathy and I did our first full hearted Fluke trip. Motoring out of Shark river inlet we were greeted by a Pod of Dolphins which never gets old to see. With a lack of drift I tried a small low profile wreck area where I boated a nice 21 incher, my first thoughts were bad omen!
We bobbed around the area only to find some short Seabass. Moving on north more short seabass and a short fluke. Moved further North and out to 70 ft. water a couple keeper seabass and Cathy boats a 22 inch fluke, with the lack of drift just couldn't get in to a steady bite or is it the fluke are just not schooled up yet?
Moved into 50 foot of water with a little breeze out of the NE and start getting more of a steady bite picking through shorts of fluke and seabass. I picked up one more keeper fluke and the wind shifted coming out of the south
Trying a couple more spots with 1 more short fluke. Back to the dock cleaned the fish and the boat and headed to 10th ave. Burrito for dinner! It was a Good Day
Happy Fathers Day Everyone
