with the Sh*&&Y forecast, we decided to hit the south jetty in Barnegat. Left a bit late. Got off 63 around 6. Cruised north checking out a couple ramps. Got up to the park entrance at 7. It was closed so we fished a bit over the wall just outside. Saw some peanuts but nothing else was around. Ranger showed up so we darted in right after him and headed out to the jetty. Other than all the morons trying to go out front and then turning around, saw nothing of interest. guys drifting the inlet were on a super fast drift. 1 guy on the jetty had a short fluke which I'm pretty sure he kept anyway. Couldn't fish the tip with the rough surf so we gave up. Headed north to look at another launch ramp. Then headed to Manasquan. Must have just missed the bite. When we pulled is, saw people landing shorts so we were going to give it a shot. Tried again for some tog and fluke but only ended up getting bait stolen. Didn't see any signs of life after a couple hours so we headed home.
