NJ Fishing & Boating Weather Outlook Weekly Sept 24-30, 2018
« on: September 23, 2018, 06:25:24 PM »

Another wet week with poor water conditions. Monday through Thursday will have rain, showers, and thunderstorms. Some storms on Tuesday and Wednesday could be strong to severe. Friday, Saturday, and Sunday will be mostly dry. Highs will range from the 60’s to 80’s with lows in the 50’s to 70’s. Overall, humidity will be high. Water conditions will be hazardous, then borderline to cautious. Surf and beach conditions will be borderline to cautious. Water temperatures are in the upper 60’s to mid 70’s.

A frontal boundary will remain stalled to our south through Monday as high pressure over Ontario builds southeast into New England. As the high pressure shifts offshore on Tuesday, the frontal boundary will return north across our area as a warm front. A fairly strong cold front is forecast to cross the area late on Wednesday, followed by high pressre on Thursday. Another cold front may reach the area around Friday, followed again by high pressure for next weekend.

The Tropics have settled mostly. There is an area being watched off the East Coast that may or may not develop. However, this area will bring poorer water conditions to the area. This area is a remnant of Florence that was left behind. There are some other areas out in the Atlantic. One is moving into the Gulf of Mexico again and another staying out to sea and dissipating.

Have a great week and thanks for reading!
