pick a boat, any boat
« on: February 22, 2019, 09:16:46 PM »
Since it's boat show season and we have chances to view many different boats, I'm wondering which new boats you'd choose. The stipulation is, you're choice has to be "semi-realistic". Meaning, you would actually be able to afford it.

I've always like the Tidewaters but have read some major horror stories on a few forums. I almost bought one before I found my Angler. Just didn't want to spend the money since I was a 2nd time boating virgin and thank god I did. lol

I bought my Parker sport cabin brand new in 1994. Still have it! Great to have the sport cabin to get out of the weather (sun, wind, rain, etc.) A small downfall with the design is being inside running the boat keeps the captain away from the crew and out of the conversations for the most part. But then again, that is a good thing at times.  ;D
Would probably purchase another Parker if the need arose. Still content with the '94 as it does everything I need it to do and then some. Have it set up how I want it. Very sea worthy boat, do need to slow down in a head sea but hey, what's the rush?

I Love my Parker.. was my dream come true..  I do miss the being out in the open while underway.. Like Joe said.. but when times get tough and your all in the cabin plowing 25 miles to home from mid shore..   I can't complain.  Plus the cockpit is so stable and large for anything you want to do..   I would love to have the Parker and a 21 Foot CC.. for those perfect days...
