The Florida I grew up in
« on: February 06, 2020, 03:15:11 PM »
Having a discussion on the Florida I grew up in.
I remember these like it was yesterday:

Milk being delivered to my front door.
Coal being delivered to my back yard.
Ice being delivered to the ice box on my porch.
(electric refrigerators were un-heard-of)
Gas wars... I remember 20 cents a gallon.
Bought my first car new for $1,500.00
Cars that rusted out in a couple of years.
Car tune-up every 3,000 miles.
Vacuum windshield wipers.
Hunting in my back yard.
Catching 100 Kingfish a day.
The list goes on & on.

How many do you remember?
