Hot Florida Grouper and Snapper Fishing in July
As we all know all too well July is hot, very hot, in Florida.
The weather is not all that is hot; the grouper and snapper fishing is steaming.

3 pm Tuesday afternoon, July 28, 2020, the Florida Fisherman ll heads for the far off Middle Grounds & beyond on a 39 hour grouper/snapper trip:

First up, the elusive, hard to fool, great to eat Mangrove Snapper:

What an honor having angleretts fishing with us:

The Federal waters two day limit of Mangrove Snapper is 20 per person, and there is NO closed season:

Wednesday morning:

Trolling between stops can be extremely exciting, and rewarding. On this trip three Tuna & a Wahoo were caught trolling.
The Blackfin Tuna were caught on a XRAP magnum 30 with a red head & a white body. The proud anglers purchased the lure from Hubbard's tackle shop on the advice of Captain Dylan Hubbard.
The Wahoo was caught on a NOMAD MADMACS SINKING LURE. What a fight!  Did you know that Wahoo can hit speeds of 60 MPH?

Florida grouper fishing in July is HOT.
The hard fighting, great eating, Gag Grouper:

Talk about 'great eating,'
The best of the best... The Scamp Grouper:

Wow! that's a BIG Yellowtail Snapper:

Now!  Let's take a look at one of the most prized fish ever to swim... The American Red Snapper:

'The weather is not all that is hot; the grouper and snapper fishing is steaming.'

Thursday morning...
As the Florida docks the Flying HUB ll is leaving:

Those massive twin 425 hp Yamaha's play no games. The far off Middle Grounds can be fished on a one day trip.
This weekend marks the end of federally permitted for hire ARS fishing until next June. Hopefully more days will be added this fall to the recreational sector.
