Targeting Hogfish

Hogfish are known for their bright orange, salmon color. They have a large, pig-like, snout and rooster like fins off the top of their heads. The average size ranges from 1 to 4 pounds. The Florida sate record is 19.5 pounds taken off Daytona Beach. For most who target Hogfish the bait of choice is shrimp. A spinning rig in the 20-30 pound class would be ideal. As the Florida weather cools fishing for the highly sought after Hogfish gets hot, really.Let's take a look:As usual the ladies show us how its done:We learned our lesions well:Back to business:Catch the trip video: https://youtu.be/EtNOeA_LPkM
