Great day with Capt. Ken Zwirko, my brother Matt, and friends Larry and Ed.  Left Seawaren ramp at 3:50 AM and after a quick stop deep inside GK to net live bunkers for the morning fishing left at speed to fish off Asbury Park a couple of miles off shore.

"The early bird catches the worm"

Non-stop action almost from the set up with livies.  Caught over 25 bass most in the 25-27 lb range. My target was to make it past the 30 lb mark, which I did twice.  Largest was 34 on the boga. All  five 30 lbers were released.

It was something to watch the stripers attack the bunker on the surface...never experienced a feeding frenzy like that before.

My buddy Larry also caught a blue shark which was released...got a good shot of it coming up out of the water.

All in all one of those days being in the right place at the right time with the right bait and the right captain.

Back at the dock at 9:15, where Capt. Ken picked up another charter to attack the same area.

Capt. Ken used a dehooker as hook was on the lip we estimated it was about 100lbs.....needless to say we had to move from that spot as that shark put the stripers down for a bit.
