Raritan Bay Fluking 6/12
« on: June 12, 2008, 06:52:13 PM »
got a late start today, neighbor John ,Dave and myself left home at 8,fished back bay, first fish on a 22 incher by Dave, then some shorts just missing the mark, picked up some blues also, then I get a 21 incher, picked away all day in the same area,I ended up getting 2 more keepers over 20 inches,John caught fish today but no keepers, also had some nice hookups that were lost before getting to the boat, all fish caught in 25 to 30 feet of water.we actually stayed in the first area we tried all day.no sense moving if your finding good size fish.back at Sayreville Ramp at 3,a nice day on the water.

Give a man a fish, and he can eat for a day. But teach a man how to fish, and he'll be dead of mercury poisoning inside of three years.

Great decision to stay where the fish were.....cardinal rule is not to go elsewhere in seek of a better bite.
