A second amen to that. Hit the canal today after some surf fishing (nothing in the surf at all).  Me and my brother in law each caught our limit--1!  We only caught tog using clams--we tried with crabs first...found it odd - but you gotta use what works.  And we caught all by casting out into the middle during slack and a little after - not a bite along the sides...I also spent time picking up other people's garbage before I left and discarded line.  >:( They have garbage cans right there!!!!!
Thanks Dad for taking me fishing as a kid!

IF NOT WE ALL WILL LOSE OUR FISHING SPOTS, ALL I SEE IS BERKLEY BAGS AND RIG BAGS WITH 7-11 CUPS AND BEER CANS. I take 10 min every time I go out to pick up crap that others leave behind. After eating dinner at the Shipwreck Grille for my wife's B-Day, stopped by the canal ( could not help myself) to see what was going on.

Guy said they were chewing on crab and clam and had got one keeper.

It's good that I don't live close, or I'd most likely be divorced because I know that I would always be "stopping by", just to see.

The garbage at fishing spots is just out of control ridiculous!  Unfortunately, the people on here probably aren't the ones leaving it.  I think this fall I have spent more time cleaning up garbage than fishing, but some areas need more than just a pick up.

After "mugging" cards we need "stop being a pig" cards nosmly!

This may sound funny but how about all the crab legs and shells as well.It probably does'nt hurt the water to discard them back into the sea instead of feeding all the bugs!

i could hit 45 home runs a year for the phillies if  wanted too but im no going to, dont want too, too busy.

This is like one of those situations where you know it, I know it and you know I know it.

Im just a humble field tester for van staal and lamiglass what chance would i possibly knowing a hot bass bite.
yeah sure i film live bass but the true sharpies dont do pics or video, everyone run to the canal for easy pickings  ;)

Don't sweat this Rich, I know it pisses you off to read those comments, but the truth is here. One bad complaint against many good compliments.

I really like SH's posts and I think he's a bona fide sharpie but why pick on Capt. Rich? He's just reporting what he and his customers are doing and he's always ready to share tips and help.

I'm obviously quiet on this site, but I must say I've been in --------- several times and Rich has not tried to push anything on me. Twice he told me what I had was fine (jigs) and told me I needed nothing more.
I'm fairly new to the game and he knew it.  He did not try to take advantage of that. Thanks again.
