WHAT DO YOU THINK IS WRONG!!!!!!

I had a gas seperater intstalled on my boat and when I have it wide open the boat wants to stall out sometimes and it hapen three times . It then runs good after I give it more gas after kicking it back alittle . it is running  rich it smells like exaust , I think I have to change the plugs , it might be a bad one  ??? ??? ??? ??? rgmn rgmn rgmn slt slt

 If this just started after the separator was installed and ran good before. I would agree with the sucking air. Or possibly a line with a bubble forming in it. If it was doing it before the install then possibly plugs. I would look at the new separator since thats the last thing you had done. slt

Loose connection sucking air, or you could have a bad diaphram on one of the fuel pumps...pull your engine cover off, rev it up to see if you see fuel leaking by one of the pumps.....otherwisw check your fuel separator connections....

loose nut behind the keyboard?  5hrug

fuel restriction or loose clamp/hose kinked
carb gummd up or diaphragm/fuel pump
racor cloggd or wrong element
primer bulb rotted or leaking if u got one

CHECK THE PLUGZ 1ST

OKAY GUYS , I went up and installed new plugs and it did it again  rgmn rgmn rgmn it only happens at the frist take off and then it is good . I was reading the the filter has to go after the primer ball and they installed it before the primer ball comming from the gas tank to the primer ball . how are your primer balls set up ;D

My separator is after the bulb.

Goes without saying the plug gaps must be right on, all vac hoses connected, timing AOK all the basics.
If it started after the separator installation bypass the separator with a hose and some fittings and clamps and see if it goes away. Then take it back to the separator installer and tell him to fix it.
If it only happens the first time you get going that makes no sense at all unless the motor is loading up at idle. Try bumping it gradually up to 1200rs for 10sec then 1500 then 2000 then whatever it takes to get on plane if the prob goes away and it's a carbed O/B you likely have lo speed jet(s) too rich.

Maybe time for a new boat? I see some for sale...  chrz

I agree with Warren. By pass the separator and see if that clears it up. If so, have the installer correct it.

Art, I got to the site  late today.However, I did have a similar problem and it turned out to be dirt in the fuel line JUST before the bulp. It looked like strings of felt or fiberglass or rag.Enough to cause that hesitation,pull back, hestitation.I checked all the filler lines, fuel lines,vent lines and gas line before I identified and fixed problem.    Good Luck, AJ.

looks like it was not me  ;D this time rgmn rgmn rgmn they changed the filter and it is running fine . They said it was the wrong filter and they said the filter was very fine so they installed a new one  t^ t^ t^
